With over 20 years living in the United Arab Emirates and 18 years of experience in location management, I work as a Supervising Location Manager across major international film and television productions. My passion for film led me into location management, where I have been able to work at the forefront of production from development through to completion. I work closely with filmmakers and teams to ensure locations are ready and workable for production.My feature film credits include the Dune franchise, F1 The Movie, and most recently Jack Ryan, while also spending many years working in commercials, which have been a strong foundation of the UAE production industry.
* Scout and secure filming locations that meet the creative and logistical requirements of the production, including obtaining necessary permits and managing location contracts and agreements.* Collaborate with the Production Manager, Director, and other department heads to develop a detailed filming schedule and coordinate logistics for each location.* Manage all aspects of location logistics, including access, parking, transportation for cast and crew.* Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations related to filming, including safety regulations and noise ordinances.* Communicate effectively with local residents and businesses to minimize disruptions and maintain positive relationships with the community.* Manage location budgets, including fees and expenses with vendors and suppliers, tracking expenses, and reporting to the Production Manager.* Oversee location security and safety, including securing equipment and protecting cast and crew from hazards and risks.* Coordinate with the Transportation Department to ensure that cast and crew are transported safely and efficiently between locations.
