As a production manager/line producer, I work closely with producers from the early stages; including prepping breakdowns and quotes based on briefs. Having built a network of reliable freelancers, I am able to manage budgets efficiently without compromise. Taking the day to day tasks out of the hands of the producer to free them up for the above the line concerns, I am an active contributor on set. Leaning on my experience in other departments, I am able to help beyond my role and anticipate the needs of the crew as well as in post production. Not much is left to chance when prep work is done right, and I take pride in my attention to detail in the prep stage. With experience managing productions from within different types of organizations, I am constantly growing my understanding of the different requirements for each.
Pre-Production- Creatively supporting director with development of concepts, treatments and scripts- Breaking down briefs for crew, locations, props, sets, wardrobe, cast, etc.- Preparing RFPs, quotes, as well as setting and managing production budgets- Assessing, recruiting, negotiating & briefing both creative and technical talent- Working alongside different departments and suppliers to ensure that all requirements areachieved time, within budget while maintaining standards and quality- Creating and maintaining CPS progress- Plan & execute all prep (eg. fittings, casting, gear checks, recce/scouts, etc.)- Scheduling and optimzing production schedule- Preparing preproduction decks and documents- Coordinating transportation and hotel accommodations- Working closely with directors/photographers to develop creative concepts and directions- Updating clients on progress, receiving feedback and actioning it- Managing all prep for and leading up to PPM- Taking lead on PPMs- Walking clients through the full preproduction prep as well as addressing any concerns orquestionsProduction- Overseeing start-of-day tasks (prelighting, set finishing, etc)- Managing shoot day schedule; working closely with all departments to maintain progress- Solving day-to-day challenges on set as they arise- Managing production department team and delegating tasks & responsibilities when requiredPost-Production- Setting & maintaining delivery schedules- Briefing post-production team on requirements, brand guidelines- Relaying feedback to post production team after understanding the client's needs
