I am a Safety consultant, Stunt Coordinator, Trainer and Assessor, Safety Supervisor and Action Consultant with a background in performance and producing with more than 35 years’ experience in the film, television and entertainment industry.
Of recent times specialising and focussing on live action reality television productions which offer new and interesting problems to solve and challenges to create.
I have consulted on the safety and stunt action and have been part of challenge and game development on a number of shows assisting with R&D as well as helping decide on where, when and what PPE (safety equipment) is to be worn by the performers and or contestants – with the thought of minimising as much as possible while remaining within the guidelines of safety.
I have worked with design teams in regard to spacing dynamics, acceptable heights for both impact and spectacle. I can also assist in supplying necessary safety, medical, physio personnel and where or if needed performers and or contestants.
I was the first Covid-19 On Set Safety Coordinator due to the fact that I successfully created and initiated the onset protocols and procedures to keep the only feature film in the world operational while keeping the cast and crew safe while every other production around the world shut down.
This broad spectrum allows me to expertly assess shows, scripts, locations, sets and scenarios on many levels.
I create a clear, concise safety reports, risk assessments and scene breakdowns which allow you the ability to plan the action, knowing who's needed where, with the knowledge that the entire crew’s safety has been considered.
This process allows an insight into logistic management, identification of specialist crew and a clearer perspective on your potential spend and risks.
I have worked in all aspects of the entertainment industry from live shows to feature films, dramas to doco's, comedy to reality, they all offer their own unique problems to solve.
