Ihab Darwish is an internationally acclaimed Emirati composer, celebrated for his ability to craft emotionally compelling and visually evocative music that seamlessly bridges traditional Arabic & Oriental elements with modern cinematic orchestration. His powerful symphonic works, large-scale multimedia compositions, and high-profile collaborations position him as a leading candidate for film scoring, capable of elevating narratives with his distinctive musical voice.
A Grammy Recording Academy Voting Member and the first guest composer of the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Darwish has worked with world-renowned orchestras and artists across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. His major symphonic works, including Waves of My Life (2018), Hekayat: Symphonic Tales (2021), and Symphony of Three: Peace. Love. Tolerance (2022), showcase his ability to merge grand orchestration with deep storytelling. His latest work, Symphony of Three, was co-composed with Hollywood legends John Debney and David Shire, reinforcing his stature in the world of cinematic composition.
Expanding his work into film, Darwish composed the score for the award-winning short documentary She (2018), directed by Philip Jamal Rashid. His music added a poignant and immersive layer to the film’s narrative, demonstrating his ability to enhance visual storytelling through dynamic and emotive soundscapes.
